On this date in 1974, the Flyers defeated the Kansas City Scouts at the Spectrum, 10-0.

Eight different players scored for the Flyers, including Bill Barber and Ross Lonsberry who each posted two goals in the game. Center Terry Crisp registered three assists in the contest and Bobby Clarke recorded five points (1G,4A). Clarke's four assists tied the then-team record for most assists in a game. Goaltender Bernie Parent stopped all 22 shots faced to record the win.

The 10-0 win tied the team record for most decisive shutout win, which was originally set on March 4, 1973, in a 10-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs. This record would later be broken on October 20, 1977, as the Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins, 11-0.
