Claude Giroux becomes the second player to move into the Final Four of the Flyers Highlight of the Year Tournament.
An overwhelming majority of voters chose Giroux's no-look, backhand top shelf winner against the Blue Jackets, coming in at over 80 percent of the vote, against the Tic-Tac-Toe play finished off by Matt Read against the Penguins.
The captain would be a crucial part of another Flyers comeback victory, scoring the game-tying goal late in the third period. But he wasn't done yet. Giroux finds a shot wide from Mark Streit at the point and holds off a Columbus defender and flips a shot from his backhand to go top-shelf on Curtis McElhinney. His game-winner also turned out to be his 100th career goal as the Flyers capped off a five-goal third period and third straight unanswered goal to hand the Blue Jackets a 5-4 loss at the Wells Fargo Center on Dec. 19
Giroux, along with Mason's 'Best Save', advance to the semifinals of the tournament and will face the winner of the 'Best Hit' section of the bracket.
But for now, check out this week's winning highlight - the Best Goal of 2013-14.
