Prior to the Flyers facing off in their second game of the season, GM Ron Hextall announced the following roster move to the media:

The club has loaned goaltender Anthony Stolarz to their AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, today.

Goaltender Calvin Pickard has joined the team in Colorado and will be on the ice at the morning skate with the team. Pickard was claimed by the Flyers off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Stolarz was on the Flyers season opening roster and served as backup to Brian Elliott in the Flyers season opening game at Vegas.

He appeared in three preseason games for the Flyers, where he posted a 3.00 goals-against average and .895 save percentage in 120 minutes of play. He even recorded an assist in the Flyers 5-1 win against the Islanders on Sept. 18.
