(Sunrise, Florida, December 26) – Flyers center Peter Forsberg skated with the team in non-contact drills on Tuesday evening at the Bank Atlantic Center, and is targeting a return date of December 31 when the Flyers are in Carolina to face the Hurricanes. Forsberg has been sidelined with a concussion since December 16 when he left a game early in Washington.
Below are excerpts of what Forsberg had to say after the skate.
"I don't think I'm playing tomorrow (against Florida). It's much better than it was when I left, and it's definitely not that far. I'm very, very doubtful for tomorrow, though.
"I still feel a little slow. I'm not dizzy but I still feel a little bad after [skating]. But, I'm 10 times better than I was before I left.
On his possible return date, Forsberg said: "I don't think it's going to be these next two games. I think it's going to be against Carolina. I need one practice at least to be ready for the game. That's what I think is going to happen."
