The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have recalled left wing Tye McGinn from their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms today, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.
McGinn appeared in four games for the Flyers this season (Oct. 12-24) where he has three goals on seven shots and four penalty minutes while averaging 14:31 of ice time.
For the Phantoms, McGinn has three goals in six contests, including a pair of goals to help lead Adirondack to a 3-1 win over the Binghamton Senators last night.
In 22 career games with the Flyers, the 6-2, 20-pound McGinn has six goals and eight points over the last two seasons.
Forwards Vincent Lecavalier and Steve Downie will be out of the lineup as the Flyers face the New Jersey Devils in Newark, NJ tonight in a 7 p.m. face off (CSN & 93.3 WMMR).
