The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have re-signed forward Jason Akeson to a one-year, two-way contract, according to general manager Ron Hextall.
Akeson, 23 (6/3/1990), appeared in the final regular season game for the Flyers this past season as well as all seven games for the Flyers-Rangers series in the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, posting two goals and three points.
He also appeared in 70 games for the Phantoms this past year, where he recorded 24 goals and 40 assists for 64 points. The goals and points are a career high, and he’s one assist away from tying that career high.
This past season marked the third consecutive year that Akeson has led the Phantoms in scoring.
