TIME: 7 p.m.  |  TV: NHL Network  |  RADIO: 97.5 The Fanatic

Tonight is the sixth of eight preseason games for the Flyers, while the Rangers are appearing in their third of six preseason games and second on home ice… The Rangers have scored eight goals in their two preseason outings… It is also the start of the third home-and-home series for the Flyers who took on the Toronto Maple Leafs, going 0-1-1, and the New Jersey Devils, going 1-1-0… The Flyers are in the midst of playing three games in three days and four games in a five-day span.

NEWS, NOTES & QUOTES: Flyers fall to Devils, 3-1
     POSTGAME: Berube's Take  |  Zepp's busy night

Although the line-ups certainly won’t be the same, this will be the first meeting between the two teams since Game Seven of the First Round series in which the Rangers won 2-1 on April 30, eventually making it to the Stanley Cup Final… This is the first time the Flyers will take on the Rangers twice in one preseason since 2008, and only the third meeting in the preseason since 2008… The Flyers lost last year’s preseason game, 3-2, at home, and earned a 5-3 win at the Wells Fargo Center in the 2011 preseason.

There are five players tied for second in the NHL preseason in assists, three of which are Flyers (Voracek, Streit & Blair Jones)… Streit and Voracek are two of five players tied for second in the NHL preseason with five points each (1g-4a) — neither of which are in the lineup tonight… Six players are in the line-up tonight who also played last night in New Jersey, while four players will be playing their third game in as many nights (Leier, Jones, Stortini & VandeVelde) having played in the Flyers-Phantoms scrimmage on Saturday night in Lehigh Valley.

4. PLAYER TO WATCH - FLYERS: (RW: #78 - Pierre-Edouard Bellemare)
Bellemare will enter the line-up for the first time since the first preseason game in London, Ont… He has since been battling a lower-body injury that initially kept him off the ice with the team afterwards, but he has been skating with the club for the last several days… The 29-year-old will also appear for the first time in front of head coach Craig Berube, who coached the home split-squad game during his first preseason game… It will also be Bellemare’s first time playing in an NHL rink after playing in Europe for all of his career.

5. PLAYER TO WATCH - RANGERS: (G: #30 - Henrik Lundqvist)
The Rangers’ top netminder will make his third straight start in the preseason for the Rangers, who have only played in two games thus far… He has allowed three goals on 29 shots so far, having split time in the first two games, but tonight is expected to play the full 60 minutes… Last year, Lundqvist went 2-1-0 against the Flyers in the regular season, posting a 2.03 GAA and .940 save percentage.
