FINAL VOTE: Giroux vs Giroux for Highlight of Year

by Staff Writer / Philadelphia Flyers

POLLS ARE OPEN: The Final Showdown for the 2013-14 Flyers Highlight of the Year is finally here… and it pits Captain vs. Captain.

Claude Giroux's last second winner in OT vs. the Blackhawks made its way through the bracket by defeating Vinny Lecavalier's winner against the Caps and then Brayden Schenn's OT winner against the Devils to win the 'Best in OT' section. Giroux then dispatched Steve Mason's stretch save on Penguins' Beau Bennett to advance to the Finals.

That play faces off against his ever popular, no-look, backhand, top-shelf flip against the Blue Jackets, which defeated a pair of great goals from Sean Couturier's breakaway goal on Henrik Lundqvist to a brilliant Tic-Tac-Toe play finished by Matt Read to win the 'Best Goal' section.

Giroux advanced to the final by defeating the 'Best Hit' of 2013-14, a crushing hit from Zac Rinaldo against Kings' Kyle Clifford to make it to the Final vote.

Watch each highlight and submit your vote below. Voting has been extended to Sunday, Sept. 7 with the polls set to close at 11:59 p.m. Fans can vote an unlimited amount of times during the entire week.
