The Flyers Charities Scholarship supporting the Flyers Learn to Play Rookie Program provides financial assistance for eligible youth to participate in select 2023-24 Flyers Learn to Play Rookie Programs.

The Flyers Learn to Play Rookie Program is a program that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community and for participants to develop fundamental skills to help them succeed both on and off the ice. Created jointly by the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL), the Learn to Play Rookie Program’s goal is to inspire youth and welcome more families into the hockey community.

The Flyers Learn to play Rookie Program is a USA Hockey sanctioned program. On-ice programming is run by the third-party owners of the hockey rinks at which the program is hosted. No on-ice personnel involved in the program (including coaches, referees, and volunteers) are employed or contracted by, or otherwise affiliated with, the Philadelphia Flyers or Comcast Spectacor.
