Social Buzz: Road trippin'

by Torie Peterson / Calgary Flames

The Flames headed out on their four-game road swing this week, making stops in Nashville, Dallas, and St. Louis.

The Flames continued their winning ways and OT supremacy in Nashville, downing the Preds 2-1 in extra time.

After falling behind 1-0 and Karri Ramo keeping his team in the game, it was TJ Brodie who evened things up for the Flames.

The winning goal in OT came from a beautiful play by Johnny Gaudreau and Kris Russell.

Next stop: Dallas. Once again, the Flames found themselves in a hole after a tough start but they battled back and scored three unanswered goals at the AAC.

Seventh heaven!

The Flames had a rare afternoon matinee game in St. Louis on Saturday. They pressed hard to get the game into extra time with a third period push but their winning streak was halted.

Sean Monahan got the comeback attempt when he showed off his incredible hand-eye coordination.

Mark Giordano pulled his team within a goal with a late tally.

Alas, the comeback could not be completed but the C of Red was proud of their team's resiliency.

The Stockton Heat, the Flames American Hockey League affiliate, participated in the first AHL outdoor game in California on Saturday and the Heat skated away with a 3-2 win over the Bakersfield Condors, the Edmonton Oilers affiliate!

The game was originally set for Friday but after multiple delays, the game ended up being played on Saturday.

Thankfully, it was a beautiful day in Sacramento on Saturday!

The boys were pretty pumped to be a part of the inaugural Golden State Hockey Rush.
