Prospect Of The Week: Turner Elson

by Torie Peterson / Calgary Flames

CALGARY, AB -- The Adirondack Flames were able to rally from deficits in two games against Hamilton last week, scoring three goals in each third period to secure a pair of victories on the road.

One of the players behind these late-game rallies? Turner Elson.

The 22-year-old scored the go-ahead goal in both wins. On Friday, he gave the Flames a 2-1 lead at the 15:15 mark and on Saturday, he gave Adirondack a 3-2 lead at 2:50 of the third stanza. He put a combined 11 shots on net in those games.

Elson has suited up for 11 games with the Adirondack Flames this season, netting two goals and three points. He has fired 27 shots on net and has picked up seven penalty minutes.

The New Westminister, BC product is in the final year of his three-year, two-way contract.
