FLAMES (20-21-3) at BLUE JACKETS (17-26-4)
TV: SNF, FS-O (5:00 PM MT)
Season series: The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Calgary Flames twice last season by a 3-2 score, once in overtime. Right wing Rene Bourque had two goals for Columbus, including the winner in overtime March 21. Forwards Matt Calvert and Ryan Johansen each had a goal and an assist for Columbus; forwards Jiri Hudler and Sean Monahan each had a goal and an assist for Calgary. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky won each game.
Flames team scope: Calgary will use a different lineup than the one that lost to the New Jersey Devils 4-2 on Tuesday. "There will definitely be some changes," coach Bob Hartley told the Flames website. "I'm not set yet, but expect some changes." One of the changes will be in goal; Karri Ramo will start in place of Jonas Hiller. Center Lance Bouma, who has been on injured reserve with a cut on his leg, will not be one of the changes. Bouma, who has been skating and is close to returning, is expected to play before the five-game road trip ends Monday against the Dallas Stars. "Not [Thursday] but most likely, we're going to see [Bouma] in one of the final two games (of the trip)," Hartley said. "He looks good. It's just a matter of making sure that the stitches don't come off. It's just more precautionary than anything else."
Blue Jackets team scope: Forward Scott Hartnell and defenceman Fedor Tyutin will play, The Columbus Dispatch reported. Each was scratched Tuesday when Columbus lost 6-3 to the Washington Capitals, ending a two-game win streak. Columbus is 4-4-1 in its past nine games. The Dispatch reported that left wing Matt Calvert, who is out with a left-knee injury, skated but is at least a week away from returning.
