The Malmö, Sweden product scored 10 goals during the 2014-15 regular season, leading all Barrie rearguards. Six of his tallies came on the power play.
Andersson picked up 88 penalty minutes during the regular season.
Andersson played in all nine Colts playoff games this past season, netting one goal and four points.
At the 2014 U-18 World Championship, Andersson played seven games for Sweden. He scored two goals and three points at the tournament.
Prior to coming over to North America, Andersson played for Malmö in Sweden's Allsvenskan league. He suited up for 43 games with team, scoring three goals and 13 points.
