- In their past two regular season meetings, the Calgary Flames have outscored the Edmonton Oilers 13-3 and two forwards have recorded hat tricks against the provincial rivals. Curtis Glencross potted three goals in an 8-1 win in Edmonton on Mar. 22, 2014 and Mason Raymond netted his third-career hat trick in a 5-2 victory in Edmonton on Oct. 9, 2014.

- In his past two games against the Oilers, Karri Ramo has made 62 saves. He was in net for the 8-1 rout last March, stopping 24 shots, and made 38 saves in Thursday’s win in Edmonton.

- Through two games, six Flames skaters have recorded 2+ points: Joe Colborne (4), Raymond (3), Jiri Hudler (3), Paul Byron (2), Sean Monahan (2), and Mark Giordano (2).

- Colborne set a new career single-game high on Thursday when he notched three assists in the win against the Oilers.

- Colborne’s quick start to the year is even more impressive considering the position he’s playing. He spent the vast majority of the 2013-14 season on the wing but Bob Hartley wanted to move him back to centre this year. “Joe has been unbelievable,” the bench boss noted. “He has 10-15 pounds of muscle from the summer on him. He’s skating. He has an unbelievable vision.”

- Raymond hit the 100-goal mark on Thursday with his first period goal against the Oilers.

- Kris Russell has the early lead in blocked shots with eight through two games. Giordano trails him with three.

- Through a pair of games, Glencross has thrown nine hits and leads the team in that regard.

- The Flames went 1-2-0 last year against the St. Louis Blues. Hudler led all current Flames in scoring with one goal and three points.

- Monahan turns 20 this Sunday. The Flames 2013 first round draft pick has two assists to his name this season.
