Hitmen begin WHL title series

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen will meet the Tri-City Americans in the 2010 Western Hockey League Championship Series.

The best-of-seven is a 2-2-1-1-1 format with Calgary having home ice advantage.

The series champion will capture the Ed Chynoweth Cup and a berth in the MasterCard Memorial Cup May 14-23 in Brandon, Manitoba.

Calgary won the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy as Regular Season Champions with a record of 52-17-1-2 while Tri-City was the number one seed in the Western Conference finishing the regular season at 47-22-1-2.

This will be first ever playoff meeting between the Hitmen and Americans.

Adult lower bowl ticket $25
Adult second level seating $20
Student/Child ticket $15

The Hitmen and Scotiabank invite fans to the ‘Scotiabank Warm-Up Party’ starting two hours before all home playoff games inside Dutton’s Lounge on the West side of the Pengrowth Saddledome.

The Avison Young Club also opens two hours prior to game time for a pre-game buffet.  Prices are as follows ($17.50 Adults, $10.00 Kids).  Reservations are recommended by calling the AYC Reservation Line 403-571-9733.
