MILWAUKEE, WI -- The Abbotsford Heat will look to open a two game lead in their opening round best-of-five with the Milwaukee Admirals (Nashville Predators) this afternoon as Game-2 is hosted at the Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. Game-2 is the final game in Wisconsin before the scene switches to Abbotsford where the series will conclude with as many as three games at the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre.
Game-1 saw the Heat overcome a 2-1 deficit after 20 minutes of play by scoring five unanswered goals in the final 40 minutes to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Krys Kolanos lead the Heat offensively with a pair of goals and assists on Friday night, while Greg Nemisz scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in the second period in his first ever Calder Cup playoff game. Also chipping in with a multi-point game were Paul Byron, and Ben Walter.
The Heat have now won eight consecutive games and haven’t lost in regulation in their past 10 games. Over the club’s last 14 contests, they’ve only suffered a single regulation loss. With a Saturday night loss for the Norfolk Admirals in Game-2 of their first round series, the Heat now hold the longest winning streak in the league.
