CALGARY, AB -- Calgary Flames goaltending prospect Jon Gillies has been named to the Indiana Ice (USHL) Tenth Anniversary All-Star Team.
The alumni team was created based on-ice performance and community involvement while with the organization.
Gillies, who was drafted by the Flames in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft, spent the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons with the Ice and turned out some impressive numbers. The South Portland, ME native holds the franchise records for career games (78), wins (46), shutouts (6), and saves (2134).
Gillies also posted a franchise-best single season save percentage of .915 in the 2011-12 campaign.
The 20-year-old is heading into his junior season at Providence College this fall. In 2013-14, the netminder posted a 19-9-5 record with a 2.16 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
