Brett Sonne was taken by the St. Louis Blues in the third round (85th overall) while Carson McMillan was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round (200th overall) on Saturday.
They join a pair of teammates (Karl Alzner first round, 5th overall Washington and Alex Plante first round, 15th overall Edmonton) who were selected on Friday.
Sonne had a break-out season for the Hitmen in 2006-07. The speedy center scored 21 goals en-route to a 30 point campaign.
McMillan emerged as one of the Hitmen’s best penalty killers while chipping in 22 points
This is the first time since 2004 so many Hitmen have been taken in the same NHL Entry Draft. In ’04 five Hitmen were picked.
The franchise record is six set in 1999.
