by Staff Writer / Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames Better Halves and Good Earth Cafes came together for the first two Flames home playoff games to raise $25,000 for the Flames Foundation for Life.

Good Earth/Calgary Flames pucks were sold on the concourse at Flames home games; April 20th and April 22nd, 2009 for $20 each by the Flames players’ wives and girlfriends.

“The fans certainly enjoy meeting the ladies and we are able to raise important dollars in support of Foundation initiatives.  We are very thankful to both the Flames Better Halves and Good Earth for this partnership,” says Natasha Guillot, Executive Director of the Flames Foundation for Life.

Proceeds from the autographed pucks sales are directed to the charitable arm of the Calgary Flames Hockey Club; The Flames Foundation for Life.  To date, the Foundation has directed over $32 million in funding to education, medical research, amateur sport and recreation.

The Flames Better Halves have raised more than $130,000 for the Flames Foundation during the 2008-09 season.
