CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Flames announced today that they have recalled forward Markus Granlund and goaltender Joni Ortio from the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League.
Granlund, a Finnish-born center, has played 29 games for Calgary this season and he has recorded five goals and eight assists. He currently sits in the top-15 in the NHL among rookies in goals, assists, and points.
Ortio, a native of Turku, Finland, played 10 games with Calgary during the 2013-14 season and posted a 4-5-0 record with a 2.84 GAA. He has featured for Adirondack in 27 games this year, posting a 17-8-1 record with three shutouts and a 2.52 GAA. On Tuesday, the 23-year-old goaltender was named to the roster of the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic.
Calgary also announced that they have placed center Josh Jooris and goaltender Karri Ramo on Injured Reserve.
