Flames add to hockey operations staff

CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that have added Terry Doran (OHL) and Brad McEwen (WHL) to their scouting staff in addition to hiring Scott Gouthro as the goaltending coach for the Adirondack Flames.

Terry Doran comes to the Flames after serving as the Assistant General Manager of the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL. He has been the Spitfires Head Scout since 2005 and played a key role in Windsor winning the 2009 and 2010 Memorial Cups. Prior to joining the Spitfires, he was the General Manager and Director of Scouting for the Sarnia Sting.

Brad McEwen has spent several seasons working in the WHL serving as both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach with the Swift Current Broncos and as a Head Coach, Assistant Coach and most recently as the Assistant General Manager and Head Scout with the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Scott Gouthro joins the Adirondack Flames, Calgary’s AHL affiliate, after three seasons as the Goaltending Coach with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL. Scott played for Dalhousie University before a junior career in the MJAHL and QSPHL that concluded at Winston-Salem in the SPHL.
