Draft-eligible Zboril to join Czech national team this summer

Draft-eligible defenceman Jakub Zboril has been invited to join the Czech Republic's national junior hockey team for two events this summer.

The Saint John Sea Dogs' rearguard will attend the U20 camp in Kravare, Czech Republic, from June 16-21 and will represent his country at a U20 Three Nations tournament in Calgary from July 28 through August 10.

Zboril is expected to be selected in the first round of the 2015 NHL Draft. NHL Central Scouting had him 12th in their final rankings of North American skaters, International Scouting Services has him sitting 22nd in their overall rankings, Red Line Report has him listed 27th in their final set of rankings, and Future Considerations has the defenceman 20th overall in their rankings.

The Brno, CZE tallied 13 goals and 33 points in 44 regular season games and had one goal and three points in five playoff dates with Saint John. It was his first season in the QMJHL.
