NHL Central Scouting's top-ranked North American netminder Thatcher Demko is among the seven goaltenders invited to the 2014 United States National Junior Goaltender Evaluation Camp.
The three-day camp will be held in Ann Arbor, MI, beginning on June 9.
This camp is the first step for US Hockey to begin evaluating players for the 2015 World Junior Championship, held in Toronto and Montreal.
The San Diego, CA native is coming off his freshman season at Boston College where he posted a 16-5-3 record with 2.16 GAA and .920 save percentage. Playing alongside Flames prospects Johnny Gaudreau and Bill Arnold, Demko captured the 2014 Beanpot title and helped lead his team to the Frozen Four.
He led all Hockey East goaltenders with a .729 winning percentage.
Demko was USA Hockey's third goalie at the 2014 World Junior Championship but did not dress for any games.
Four other draft-eligible goalies will be in attendance as well: Alex Nedeljkovic of the Plymouth Whalers (OHL); Brandon Halverson of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (OHL), Edwin Minney of the U.S. National Team Development Program under-18 team, and Devin Williams of the Erie Otters (OHL).
