Links and Legends is the CEPF annual charity golf tournament. This is Moss’ first year as the Chair of the fundraiser. CEPF is the organizing body for the Flames literacy program Reading…Give it a Shot! Moss has been a program spokesperson for the reading incentive program for the last six seasons.

This will mark the 16th season Flames players have been visiting Grade 4, 5 and 6 students as part of the Reading …Give It A Shot! program. Last season’s program included 200 schools and over 180,000 students. This Calgary Educational Partnership Foundation and Calgary Flames reading incentive program encourages students to read by combining player visits with a bookmark reward system. For every 100 minutes of reading, students are rewarded with a commemorative bookmark featuring Flames players.

The Links and Legends Golf Tournament pairs every golf foursome with a legend. Previous legends have included football and hockey heroes and Olympians. The year 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the charity tournament. All proceeds support CEPF programs. Other programs include the Stay in School Ski Day, Women in Technology and the Calgary On-line Safety Week.
