Ryan Donates to Operation Homefront

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Beginning with tonight’s contest vs. the New York Islanders (Military Appreciation Night), to honor U.S. military personnel and their families, Ducks left wing Bobby Ryan will pledge a $100 donation for every point scored during the remainder of the 2010-11 regular season to Operation Homefront.

In addition to the Ducks’ previous events with Operation Homefront, Ryan also worked with the nonprofit organization during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, when members of Team USA’s men’s hockey squad were matched with service members wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan.

In August 2009, Ryan, along with teammate George Parros, visited Fort Irwin National Training Center, east of Barstow, CA, where he visited with Army troops preparing for deployment. For more information on Operation Homefront, please visit
