Postgame Quotes: November 4 at New York

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Postgame quotes from Andrew Cogliano following Anaheim's 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on November 4.

On the team’s success

We’re just a team that rolls four lines. We have a lot of depth, and we’ve had good goaltending. The goaltending has been great so far for us. We come at teams in waves, and tonight was our last of eight games on the trip, but we gutted it out.

On the play of the team’s youngsters
The guys have come up and played really well. [Devante] Smith-Pelly has been really good, and [Rickard] Rakell played really well tonight. It just shows the depth of our organization. It’s a testament to who we have in the minors, and the system they’re playing down there, because guys come up and they do a real good job.

On the team’s identity
We have a good mix. We have guys like [Ryan] Getzlaf and [Corey] Perry who are big bodies who can hold the puck down low, and have great skill. And, we have guys who can skate. [Emerson] Etem and [Daniel] Winnik are great skaters. Obviously, Teemu [Selanne] and Saku [Koivu]. We push the pace, but we have a good mix of guys who can really hold onto the puck down low. As of right now, we’re playing good hockey. We’ve just got to keep it going.
