On Mike Condon’s performance
I thought we did a good job of testing him, so credit to him for making some big saves late in the game. It was one of those games where the few mistakes we had they were able to capitalize on. We unfortunately weren’t able to do the same. I liked our effort as a whole, so not a lot to complain about.

On Corey Perry’s 30-goal season
That’s a very difficult thing to do for as long as he’s done it. He does it in a variety of different ways. You see the skill he has, but at the same time he’s not afraid to get in front of the net and get the dirty goals. He’s a special player. He seems to score the goals when we need him the most.

On areas of improvement
We need to clean up with puck management. When we do that and we’re able to breakout clean, we’re a very difficult team to play against. We didn’t do that tonight, and it ended up in the back of our net. We’ll clean those things up.

Head Coach Bruce Boudreau
On the game
We didn’t play good enough. When you give up four goals, you’re not going to win a lot of games. If we let them be in the game long enough, they were going to be a tough opponent. We didn’t take advantage in the first period when we should have. We didn’t play anywhere near as well as I think we could have. Give Montreal credit, they played hard and had a lot of young guys in the lineup who were working their rear ends off.

On areas of improvement
Our breakouts could’ve been better. Our board work could’ve been better. Their fourth goal, we lose a battle along the boards and we were soft in front of the net. Those are things we constantly work on.
