Cam Fowler
On tonight’s game

We knew they were going to come out with a strong push. It just seems like whoever gets the first goal in this series is able to carry a lot of momentum. I thought our guys did a good job battling. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t crack them one more time. We have another opportunity in Game 7 at our building.

On the power play
Our execution wasn’t quite where it wanted to be. I made some mistakes out there. I felt like I rushed a few pucks a couple times. It just felt like we were out of sync. We’ll figure it out and it’ll be better in Game 7.

Kyle Palmieri
On tonight’s game

We didn’t get off to the start we wanted, but we played well in the second period. We got a lot of chances, but their goalie made big saves at big times. We’ve got to get out there and get off to a good start on Friday.

On if the Kings were the more desperate team
They’ve been in this situation before, and they know what to do with the lead. It was tough to get in and get opportunities on them. But overall, it wasn’t a full 60-minute effort. We’ll be better.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau
On tonight’s game

They wanted to win tonight. You never want to wait until the seventh game. Just look at Boston. You want to win it when you can. We didn’t get it done, but we’ll get better and we’ll get ready. We’ll have a heck of a game on Friday.

On heading to Game 7
It’s going to take somebody getting a lucky bounce and holding onto the lead. They’re a very good team that knows how to play with the lead. You’re going to need 20 players playing the best game they can play on both sides. There can’t be any passengers.

Jonathan Quick
On team defense
They did what they’ve done all year. I’m very fortunate to play with the group we have. We have a couple injuries on the back end. We’ve got guys stepping up, playing big minutes and really well for us.
On staying poised in an elimination game

We’re a good team. Any team that’s still playing this time of year has got a good team and knows how to win. It’ll be a good game (Game 7) and we’ve got to get our rest and be ready.

Dustin Brown
On special teams
I think we’re a team that doesn’t need to rely our power-play but it needs to get its momentum. I thought tonight our power-play had that effect on our game. Late in the third we had numerous chances on our power-play.

Head coach Darryl Sutter
On scoring the first goal
I think the second goal is more important, not the first. If you look at the past two games, that’s what did it, it wasn’t the first one it was the second one.

On Game 7
This Game 7 is probably harder than the first. You’re another two weeks into it, so it’s another level of team. You’re going into a building against a team that’s 16 points ahead of us, so you can talk all you want, there is a big underdog going against the number one seed in the Western Conference.
