At 41-17-7 (89 points), the Ducks tied the Predators (41-17-7, 89 points) – in terms of points – for first place in the NHL standings, where the top seven teams are separated by five points.

The Ducks have earned points in nine consecutive meetings with the Coyotes dating to Oct. 18, 2013 (7-0-2).

Jakob Silfverberg posted his first career three-point game. He also collected multiple assists for the second time in his career (also Oct. 13 at BUF: 0-2=2).
Andrew Cogliano registered his eighth career multi-goal game and second of the season (also Feb. 15 vs. WSH: 2-0=2). Per Elias, three of his eight career multi-goal performances have come against the Coyotes. The others: Jan. 31, 2012 at PHX (3-0=3) and March 2, 2013 at PHX (3-0=3). Cogliano also skated in his 277th straight game with the Ducks, establishing a record for the longest consecutive games played streak in franchise history. He has not missed a game since his NHL debut in 2007-08. At 605 consecutive appearances, Cogliano owns the longest active iron man streak in the NHL.
Playing his first game since Feb. 8, Frederik Andersen made 29 saves to pick up his 30th win of the season. In addition, Andersen (50-13-5) joined Montreal's Bill Durnan (50-9-9) as the fastest goaltenders in NHL history to 50 wins, accomplishing the feat in 68 career decisions. Durnan also won 50 in 68 decisions on Dec. 16, 1944.

Jakob Silfverberg

On his goal
It all happened pretty quickly. I thought I made a great shot at first, but it hit the crossbar and came right back at me. I managed to catch it and put it down on my stick. I pretty much had an empty net. It was a great feeling.

On his line (with Ryan Kesler and Tomas Fleischmann) creating scoring chances
We play really good together. We had a lot of good chances. It’s just a matter of keeping going. I thought we drove to the net. We put the pucks in there. We haven’t been doing lately, but tonight we got it to the net. We played really good.

On strong third periods
That’s something we’ve been doing all year. Even coming from last year, we’ve been great in the third. It’s a strength we have. We have confidence and never give up. That’s been really good for us so far.

Ryan Kesler
On the new acquisitions in tonight’s game
I thought our new guys played really well. They seemed to fit seamlessly into our team. My line with [Tomas] Fleischmann and Silver [Jakob Silfverberg], I thought we gelled right away. We were finding each other. It was fun playing with those guys tonight.

On his shorthanded goal
I just saw the puck squeak loose. I felt [Sam] Gagner all over me, and then I made the move to the inside. I just had to get body position and get a shot off. I got lucky and scored a goal.

On developing chemistry with Fleischmann
We both know the way each other plays. We had a lot of communication on and off the ice, and that’s a big thing. We were finding each other and talking a lot on the ice. It was a lot of fun.

On 10 of 15 games on the road this month

With the new guys coming in, it’s going to be good taking them out to dinner and making them part of the team. I’d rather be on the road with those guys so we can get together like that. It’s going to be a good month, but a grinding month.
