Ducks forward Corey Perry
has a knee injury and will be further evaluated when the team returns to Anaheim. The Ducks play at Winnipeg tomorrow (Sunday) at noon PT.
Perry was injured on a hip check delivered by Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard at the 9:40 mark of the first period in Anaheim’s 5-4 victory at Xcel Energy Center on Friday night. Perry needed assistance off the ice and did not return to the game.
Perry skated in 2:20 TOI, going scoreless. The Peterborough, Ontario native leads the Ducks with 14 goals and ranks second on the team with 22 points.
The Ducks have recalled forward Rickard Rakell from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have also reassigned defenseman Mat Clark to Norfolk.
