Honda Center to Offer Real-Time Traffic Reports

The Facility and Anaheim Ducks Form A Partnership With The Upscale Automobile Brand


Anaheim Arena Management, LLC, the management company for Honda Center, and the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, LLC announced today they have agreed to a partnership with luxury vehicle manufacturer, Acura, and will be introducing a new innovative program to benefit each fan at the game

Beginning at the Ducks home game tonight, Acura will present real-time traffic reports, one of their advanced technologies, on the center-ice scoreboard. The technology displays traffic on highways and freeways surrounding Honda Center allowing fans to see the real-time reports in order to plan their route home.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Acura,” said Wendy Grover, Honda Center director of corporate partnerships. “This relationship introduces a great feature to our fans, while presenting one of the great technologies Acura has to offer”

The Acura Navigation System, which will be displayed on the center-ice scoreboard, receives its data via satellite through the XM® NavTraffic service and displays traffic-flow rates, accidents, construction delays and pertinent weather conditions directly on the vehicle’s navigation screen. Currently, the system services major highways in 77 U.S. cities. The 2005 Acura RL was the first vehicle in the world to offer Real-Time Traffic, which is now featured in nearly all Acura vehicles.
