Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf has been activiated off injured reserve and is eligible to play in tonight's game at Vancouver.
The 25-year-old center has missed the past 14 games after sustaining nasal fractures in a game at Phoenix on Dec. 28. He has amassed 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) in 40 games so far in 2010-11.
In order to make room for Getzlaf on the roster, the Ducks have assigned left wing Aaron Voros to the Syracuse Crunch, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Voros, 29 (7/2/81), has appeared in 12 contests for Anaheim in 2010-11, going scoreless with 43 penalty minutes (PIM). He missed 21 games (Dec. 10-Jan. 25) with a fractured orbital bone suffered on Dec. 8 at Vancouver.
