Ducks to Participate in Rivalry Hold’em Poker Challenge at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks will participate in the first ever Rivalry Hold’em Poker Challenge with the Los Angeles Kings at San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino on Thursday, Apr. 7, 2011. Taking the rivalry from the ice to the felt, fans of the Ducks and Kings can ante up and go all in for their favorite team’s charity foundation. Participants will have the opportunity to play alongside Ducks Alumni, celebrity and professional poker players while competing against cross-town fans for the $10,000 in cash prizes.

With a buy-in of $25, the tournament will feature fans outfitted in their team’s colors in support of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation and Kings Care Foundation. Along with $10,000 in cash prizes, five runners-up will receive an autographed Anaheim Ducks or Los Angeles Kings jersey. All registrants will also receive a commemorative tournament t-shirt. The evening closes with an after party at the casino’s nightclub, The Pines. Ducks fans interested in tournament participation can visit for more information.

“It’s exciting for San Manuel Casino to host two outstanding organizations for a night of charitable giving, and intense poker action,” said Steve Lengel, Executive Director of Operations for San Manuel. “This evening will help introduce hockey fans to our great entertainment destination, just east of where their favorite teams play.”

The tournament is part of the long-standing partnership between San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino and the Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks and San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino entered into a five-year partnership agreement in 2009, which includes exclusive naming rights for the Premium Club Level (‘San Manuel Premium Level’), signage throughout Honda Center, sponsor of Ducks Casino Night and San Manuel Cup Holders in all seats in the arena.
