Ducks to Host Kings in SoCal Hockey Futures Game Sept. 7 at Honda Center

The Ducks announced today that the club will hold a SoCal Hockey Futures Game against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday, Sept. 7 at Honda Center beginning at 6 p.m. The game (and parking) will be free of charge to the general public, with doors opening at 5 p.m. In addition, the Ducks will travel to El Segundo for a second game against the Kings on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Toyota Sports Center (6 p.m.). The games will be taking place during the club’s rookie camp, scheduled for Sept. 4-9 (open to the public). The schedule and a complete roster will be announced next week.

Ducks prospects expected to be on the roster include the club’s last three first round picks, defensemen Shea Theodore (26th overall in 2013) and Hampus Lindholm (sixth overall in 2012), along with right wing Rickard Rakell (30th overall in 2011). World Junior Championship MVP and Gold Medalist John Gibson (goaltender) is also expected to be on the roster.

Following the game (traditional three period, 60-minute contest), all players will participate in an autograph session inside Honda Center (for all fans). More details will be available closer to the game.
