The Ducks have recalled left wing Harry Zolnierczyk
from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Zolnierczyk, 28 (9/1/87), has scored 5-4=9 points with 83 penalty minutes (PIM) in 59 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and the New York Islanders. The 5-11, 180-pound forward set several NHL career highs with Philadelphia in 2011-12, including goals (3), assists (3), points (6) and appearances (37). A native of Toronto, Ontario, Zolnierczyk went scoreless in two games with the Islanders last season.
Signed as a free agent on July 3, 2015, Zolnierczyk scored 2-1=3 points with one power-play goal (PPG) and 21 PIM in eight games with San Diego this season. At the time of his recall, Zolnierczyk ranked tied for second among team leaders in PPG and shots on net (23), and third in PIM.
