The Ducks have recalled defenseman Jordan Hendry from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hendry, 28 (2/23/84), has appeared in one game for Anaheim this season, going scoreless on Jan. 19 at Vancouver. Reassigned to Norfolk on Jan. 27, Hendry began his eighth professional season with the Admirals in October. In 31 AHL games, the 6-0, 194-pound defenseman collected 2-2=4 points and 33 penalty minutes (PIM).

Signed as a free agent on July 1, 2012, Hendry has appeared in 130 career NHL games with Chicago, earning 4-9=13 points with 40 PIM. A member of the 2010 Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks, Hendry played 15 games during Chicago’s successful playoff run that spring, going scoreless with two PIM. The Nokomis, Saskatchewan native set numerous career highs during the 2009-10 regular season, including goals (2), assists (6), points (8) and plus/minus (+5).
