The Ducks have recalled center William Karlsson
from the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, the Ducks have reassigned goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov
Karlsson, 22 (1/8/93), has collected 2-1=3 points with a +2 rating and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 17 games with the Ducks this season. The 6-0, 185-pound center made his NHL debut on Oct. 11 at Detroit and scored his first two NHL goals, including his first career game-winner, on Oct. 13 at Buffalo. Selected by Anaheim in the second round (53rd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Karlsson earned 7-14=21 points with two PIM in 35 games for the Admirals this season.
Bryzgalov, 34 (6/22/80), went 1-4-1 with a 4.19 goals-against average and .847 save percentage (SV%) in eight games with the Ducks this season. Signed as a free agent on Dec. 9, Bryzgalov has also posted a 1-1-0 record with a 2.53 GAA and .915 SV% in five games with Norfolk.
