by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have reassigned forward Chris Wagner to the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wagner, 23 (5/27/91), appeared in his third career NHL game on Feb. 27 vs. Los Angeles, going scoreless while winning 8-of-13 faceoff attempts (62%). Recalled from Norfolk on Feb. 26, Wagner logged 4:10 time-on-ice (TOI) with two penalty minutes (PIM) in his NHL debut on Oct. 17 vs. Minnesota.

Selected in the fifth round (122nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Wagner has collected 13-13=26 points with 54 PIM in 41 games for Norfolk this season. The 6-0, 202-pound Wagner returns to the Admirals co-leading the club in scoring and goals, and leading in shorthanded goals (2).
