Ducks Announce Toy Drive Drop-Off Locations and Dates

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks will kick off a “Season of Giving” with the annual Anaheim Ducks Toy Drive beginning Dec. 1 at Honda Center. The Lady Ducks (wives and significant others of Ducks players, coaches, broadcasters and management) will be collecting toys, books and games (new and unwrapped) to benefit the Spark of Love Toy Drive with the Anaheim Fire Department. Each person that donates a gift will receive a raffle ticket to win a 2014-15 team autographed stick at each of the Toy Drive games (limit one raffle ticket per person). Toys will be collected on Dec. 1 vs. Boston, Dec. 3 vs. Philadelphia, and Dec. 10 vs. Edmonton.

In addition, the Anaheim Ducks Team Store will be selling an exclusive Anaheim Ducks Foundation holiday ornament for $20 at Duck the Halls at The Market Place, Edwards Theatre Court on Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13 and 20, and at the Anaheim Ducks Skating Rink at the Irvine Spectrum on Nov. 28, Dec. 6 and 13 (weather permitting). For each ornament purchased, the Anaheim Ducks will donate a toy to the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Ornaments will also be available for purchase in the Anaheim Ducks Team Store starting Nov. 28.

Toys can also be dropped off during the entire month of December, at each of THE RINKS locations (Anaheim ICE, Corona Inline, Irvine Inline, Huntington Beach Inline, Westminster ICE, Yorba Linda ICE and Lakewood ICE) as well as the Anaheim Ducks Team Store.

Each person dropping off a donation at any RINKS locations, Anaheim Ducks Team Store or any of the Ducks events at The Market Place or The Irvine Spectrum will receive a 2-for-1 public skating pass (limit one pass per person redeemable at any of THE RINKS locations).

The Ducks will also host a Holiday Toy Drive Skate Party featuring Ducks alumni on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at THE RINKS – Anaheim ICE. Additional details on the skating party will be announced at a later date. The Toy Drive will conclude on Friday, Dec. 19 in the Honda Center parking lot as part of the annual ABC7 “Stuff-a-Bus” event.
