Chipchura Has Concussion; Out Two Games

by Staff Writer / Anaheim Ducks
Ducks center Kyle Chipchura has been diagnosed with a concussion and has been placed on injured reserve, meaning he will be out at least for the next two games.

Chipchura was injured Saturday night in San Jose after a hit by Sharks defenseman Douglas Murray in the third period of Anaheim's 5-2 defeat. He will be out of the lineup for tomorrow night's home game with Tampa Bay and Friday night's tilt vs. Pittsburgh.

“I feel better than a couple of days ago,” Chipchura told reporters today. “The neck is what’s the biggest problem.”

Chipchura had played in 11 of the Ducks' 12 games so far this season, going scoreless with a minus-1 rating.
