NAME: Michael Lenart
AGE: Today is my 30th birthday.
SECTION: Tonight I am in section 22, but my wife and I are Flex Members. We’ve been trying out different sections as we consider picking a spot for a full season membership next season.
HOMETOWN: Fair Lawn
CAREER: I am a Physical Therapist.
I HAVE BEEN A SEASON TICKET MEMBER FOR: This is my first year as a Season Ticket Member.
I HAVE BEEN A DEVILS FAN SINCE: 1993, back when Chris Terreri was still in goal. My grandfather and father watched the Devils every night. My first vivid memory was the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals, which I actually watched by myself because my dad was at Game 4 with my sister while I was home.
BEFORE EVERY DEVILS GAME, I MAKE SURE: I always wear my red Martin Brodeur Jersey, and sometimes get dinner at Taste Venue on Edison Place.
YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT: In 2010 when I was in college at Stockton University, I took Salsa dancing lessons once in order to date a girl.
MY FAVORITE CURRENT PLAYER IS: Cory Schneider
IF I COULD ASK HIM ONE THING: Do you see yourself in a Devils jersey for the rest of your career?
MY FAVORITE MARTY MOMENT IS: The 2012 postseason. Towards the end of his career he didn’t make the spectacular saves as often, but for that run, he was unbelievable. We hadn’t seen those types of saves out of him for a while, and in 2012, it made me think back to the late ‘90s and early 2000s, when he was hands down the best goalie in the league.
MY FAVORITE PIECE OF DEVILS MEMORABILIA IS: I have a “surfboard clock” that I got in Seaside Heights and it has a ’95 championship photo. We won it down the shore. It was one of those boardwalk games and my grandparents won it for me, which makes it memorable.
I AM #RELENTLESS BECAUSE: I support the Devils no matter what kind of season they are having. I’ll be watching or attending games when they are at their best, and when they are not at their best, I’ll still be there.
