Ramsey joins Street Devils program

The Street Devils program added a new member last month, when Ramsey, N.J., joined the NHL/New Jersey Devils' street hockey initiative.

Alumni representatives Grant Marshall and Rob Skrlac, and mascot N.J. Devil visited Ramsey's Finch Park on Dec. 12, when 50 participants suited up in pads to learn the basic skills of street hockey.

Street Devils
provides children with an athletic and educational program free of charge, through local community centers, hockey rinks, and schools.

The program introduces thousands of kids to hockey, a team sport that combines speed, athletic ability and sportsmanship. Street Devils will enable schools/ community/hockey rink centers to expand their recreational programs and provide kids with an opportunity to learn and participate in a new sports activity.

Street Devils is targeted for boys and girls, ages 6-16, who live in the state of New Jersey.

Contact your local community center to see if they are an Official Program Center of Street Devils. If they are not, call the Devils at 1-800-NJ-DEVIL, ask for the Grassroots department and a representative will direct you to your nearest official program center.
