September 14, 2006 – MSG announced the New Jersey Devils 2006-2007 telecast schedule. In total, the Networks will air 73 games, 64 on FSN New York and nine on MSG.

This year’s Devils telecast schedule boasts a number of notable games starting with the season opener at the defending-champion Carolina Hurricanes on October 6th. Ten days later, the Devils meet cross-river rivals, the New York Rangers, in their first of eight regular season meetings.

The broadcasting team of Mike “Doc Emrick and Glenn “Chico Resch will once again handle play-by-play and game analysis duties. MSG roving hockey analyst Stan Fischler will also appear throughout the season on select team telecasts.

Most Devils contests will begin with “Devils Game Night thirty minutes before the game telecast.

MSG’s commitment to the NHL is unprecedented, as the Networks (MSG and FSN New York) will telecast more than 300 live Devils, Rangers, Islanders and Sabres games during the 2006-2007 hockey season.

New Jersey Devils hockey on MSG is directed by Tom Meberg and produced by Roland Dratch. The executive producer is Laurie Orlando.
