|Families turned out for the latest Jersey Tour event at Prudential Center.
Jersey Tour is reaching out to Devils fans like never before!
The unique fan initiative welcomed families to the Rock for a Q&A session before the Devils faced the Florida Panthers on Feb. 4.
Devils alumni Ken Daneyko, Chico Resch and Jim Dowd were all on hand to meet and mingle at the event, which was attended by Devils’ Chairman/Managing Partner Jeff Vanderbeek and emceed by Devils’ radio announcer Matt Loughlin.
Seventy fans turned out, including 25 kids. Some hot topics involved opening up the intermission Score-O contest to kids, adding a "Gals Night Out" ticket package, and inviting fans to open practices.
The continued goal of the tour is to connect with Devils fans on how to improve their experience both at Prudential Center and out in the community. All children at the event received a Devils goodie bag featuring a t-shirt, silly bracelets, puck, knit cap, temporary tattoos and stickers.
Loughlin, a familiar face from the summer's jam-packed Jersey Tour schedule, discussed several of this year's new additions at Prudential Center.
Now starring on the concourse is the Digital Zone, where fans can enter to win memorabilia and
suites for certain events. Also at the Zone is "My First Game," where fans attending their first Devils game can sign up to receive a commemorative certificate.

A hub of activity, the Digital Zone welcomes guest speakers like Devils alumnus Rob Skrlac, who was a recent guest.
Special events for season ticket holders such as the Gold Circle Skate have had a great impact on fans, connecting them with their favorite Devil players.
"The team has been great with interacting with the fans and we plan on continuing to do more with our fans to take that interaction to the next level," Vanderbeek said.
Loughlin chatted about fan surveys, which were distributed beginning in November. Past surveys gathered fan feedback on overall experience and their thoughts on having a dedicated area for ticket holders during the game. An upcoming survey will ask about game entertainment.
To gain a better pulse on the needs of their season ticket holders, the Devils have created the Devils Army Generals. This is the direct link to the organization. The exciting new fan initiative comes with a dedicated phone number – 855-DEV-ARMY – and email address – firstname.lastname@example.org
– specifically for ticket holders.
This month, the Devils will launch a website just for season ticket holders. It will feature
info on upcoming events, offers, rewards and insider information on pre-sales. There will be
features as to the benefits that STH are entitled to as well as highlighting a season ticket holder
of the week and FAQs!
This April, Championship Plaza will once again be used for Fan Fests. Past festivities have included street hockey, a slap shot booth, face painters, temporary tattoos, synthetic ice skating rink, live music, and trivia games.
Arena improvements have included a gluten-free food stand added to the Rock's outstanding food offerings. Located between Sections 6 and 7, the Devils are happy to have an option for fans requiring gluten-free fare. A kosher food stand is located between Sections 11 and 12.
Stay tuned – there's a lot happening at the Rock!
