The Devils announced Saturday they have recalled right wing Bobby Butler from Albany (AHL).
Butler is looking to make his Devils debut Sunday on Long Island. He posted six goals and 10 assists in 56 games with Ottawa last season, and has 16 goals, 21 assists in 94 NHL games, all with the Senators.
The 25-year-old leads the Devils' top affiliate with 27 points (16g-11a) in 37 games. His five power-play goals and 105 shots are tops on the club.
He registered an assist for Albany on Friday to extend his points streak to four games (1g-3a). During a six-game points streak from Dec. 1-15, Butler collected seven goals and three assists, including a four-goal, five-point performance on Dec. 12.
The Marlborough, Mass., native was a starter for the Eastern Conference at the 2013 AHL All-Star Game in Providence.
He was signed to a two-way contract on Aug. 9.
