1. The Devils are closing out the 2015-16 regular season with their third and final meeting of the season with Toronto. New Jersey dropped a pair of shootouts in its two previous matchups with the Maple Leafs (0-0-2).

2. Coach John Hynes' team has points in four of its last seven home games (3-3-1) and is looking to finish the year above .500 at Prudential Center (18-17-5) and overall (37-36-8).

3. Three Devils prospects make their NHL debuts tonight: 2015 sixth-overall pick LW Pavel Zacha, 2013 42nd-overall pick D Steven Santini and 2013 100th-overall pick Miles Wood.

4. Patrik Elias, who's playing in his 1,240th NHL game, will skate on a line with Zacha. Elias' NHL debut also came against the Maple Leafs (Dec. 7, 1995).

5. Cory Schneider will start tonight looking to snap a personal six-game losing streak. He's 4-0-3 in his career against Toronto with a 1.64 goals-against average and .943 save percentage.

6. The Maple Leafs are 30th in the NHL with a record of 29-41-11.
