Brylin Joins Team Russia for IIHF Worlds

Sergei Brylin posted eight points in the 1996 IIHF World Championship in Vienna.


May 11, 2007 – Sergei Brylin has been named to the Russian National Team, and could play in Russia's semifinal against Finland when the 2007 IIHF World Championship continues Saturday in Moscow.

After Russia-Finland at 7 a.m. EDT, Canada will battle Sweden in the other semifinal at 11 a.m. EDT.

Brylin was one of six Devils to have played in all 82 games this season, finishing the season with 16 goals and 24 assists. He has now appeared in a career-high 246 consecutive regular-season contests.

The Moscow-native represented Russia in the 1996 IIHF World Championship, recording three goals and two assists in eight games. Brylin also appeared in the 1993 and 1994 IIHF World Junior Championships.
