Devils center Mikey McLeod is heading into his second season with the Devils organization and has some added confidence after playing in 21 NHL games for the Devils last season.
"I feel more confident, I feel like playing with these guys last year they're on a completely different level now. You play with these guys so you know what to expect," said McLeod. "It's more comforting playing with guys you already know and it's easier too."

After playing last year, Mikey feels he now knows more about the coaching style for the Devils and worked on a lot of it in his game this offseason.
"I worked a lot on my skating, straight-line speed and balance, and everything like that and my edges, turning down low. I've been working a lot on my hands, shooting a lot. I think it's helped me and I feel more confident heading into the season."
One of McLeod's focus areas this offseason and at camp is getting to the slot and scoring areas more.
"I kind of know where I score my goals from so I'm going to focus more on getting in front more and getting in those areas, the dirty areas to score goals."
