The third annual WFAN/Boomer & Carton Mikey Strong "23" Charity Hockey Game at Prudential Center
The event took place on April 21, 2017 at Prudential Center. The Mikey Strong "23" Charity Hockey Game is named for Mike Nichols, who sustained a spinal cord injury during a game for Monroe High School (N.J.) in 2014. Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Nichols Family Trust and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for individuals living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
Among the former NHL players who particiated in the game were Devils great Ken Daneyko, ex-Rangers Tom Laidlaw, Tie Domi and Brad Richards, and former Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro.
Place your bid for one of our four VIP packages before the auction ends on May 4. Proceeds will go to work immediately and speed the development of treatments for spinal cord injury.
If you were unable to attend this exciting event or would like to give an additional amount, please consider donating to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
All donations to Mike's page will benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and the Nichols Family Trust.
