The National Hockey League (NHL) announced a partnership with MySpace giving members of the community access to NHL content through the official NHL MySpace profile at and via MySpace Video. Users will be able to watch video clips from games leading up to ,and including, the 2007 Stanley Cup Final as well as clips from the 2006-07 regular season. The NHL is the first major professional sports league to team with MySpace in this capacity.

The NHL will provide a variety of video clips for MySpace users to view and embed in their MySpace profiles to share with friends virally. Each video clip will be between 1-5 minutes in length and will feature highlights such as best goals, plays, and noteworthy moments of the 2006-07 regular season. In addition, video clips from every 2007 NHL Playoff game leading up to and including the Stanley Cup Final will be available, including the top plays from each night's game.

“The NHL fans get more of their information through digital means than any other professional sport,” said Keith Ritter, President of NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises. “As the first major professional sports league to have an official presence on MySpace, we can give the community access to NHL coverage in a very unique environment.”
